Prince Hall
Prince Hall, once held in slavery, was a 1700s abolitionist, a prominent leader in the free black community, and the founder of Prince Hall Freemasonry. Encouraging enslaved and free blacks to serve in the Continental Army, Prince Hall believed all should be involved in founding our new nation. Mr. Hall championed education rights, founding a school for free African-American children in 1798. He cannot wait to engage with today’s students about his unique experiences in 1700s America.
