I am an advocate for women’s rights, education, and against slavery. As it was written in the Declaration of Independence I believe in the equal rights of all people.
I am the wife of the second President, founding father John Adams, and mother of the sixth President, John Quincy Adams. You may remember my famous letters to my husband, which influenced his policies!

Former First Lady, Abigail Adams, was a close advisor to her husband John Adams, the 2nd President of the United States. Abigail Adams is only one of only two women to be both married to and have a son who served as a U.S. President. Abigail is thrilled to help teach America's students the importance of American History and Civics!
